The Heart of America Quilt today announced Don L. Rondeau, Chief Security Advisor, will host a red teaming exercise with all proceeds to benefit the Heart of America Quilt.

Rondeau will host a benefit red team exercise on April 30th 2005 in the Washington D.C. area with proceeds to benefit the Heart of America Quilt. Homeland Security Executive of the Year honoree Don L. Rondeau will conduct a series of Red Team exercises designed to gauge the readiness of the American Citizenry as it relates to a terrorist attack. Rondeau who is the author of the Book Red Teaming- The Don L. Rondeau Method, will lead exercises geared toward encouraging event participants to use their varied and diverse subject matter expertise and life experience to Identify potential terrorist tactics and targets. Participants will analyze ways to minimize our nation's exposure to terrorist attacks by working to identify opportunities to better prepare, encourage peace, and secure communities across America much like the minute men of yesteryear. This is a patriotic pursuit with proceeds to benefit the non profit organization Heart of America Quilt.
Red teaming is nothing new to the Military community. For decade's variations of read teaming and war games have been used to keep our military prepared to face the challenges of the day. Our men and women in the law enforcement community also use Red Teaming techniques at times for the purpose of protecting us from harm. America is without question the most talented, intelligent creative country to ever exist and the goal of the series of events is to tap into the expertise of Mr. and Mrs. Average America and give them the opportunity to participate in their own safety and security. The results of the exercises will be analyzed by a team of handpicked homeland security experts and ultimately made available to the leaders of our great nation and the American Public. "The collective might of the American People is a powerful thing" states Don L. Rondeau. The endeavor, officially dubbed Red Team One will include input from all aspects of society. About Don L. Rondeau-
Mr. Don L. Rondeau is currently employed as the Director for a federally funded ISAC (intelligence gathering program). Prior to his current appointment, Don was employed by the American Trucking Associations as Director of Claims and Security for the ATA Safety and Loss Prevention Management Council where he was charged with representing the security interests of the transportation and trucking security professionals. In this capacity he routinely interacted with various county, state, and federal cargo theft and terrorism task forces as well as The Department of Homeland Security, FBI and state, county and municipal law enforcement agencies. Mr Rondeau serves on the Homeland security certification Board of directors for the American College of Forensic Examiners International and as the transportation security advisor for the International Association of Counter terrorism for Security Professionals.
