The CampusTours MultiMedia Engine allows organizations to greet Web visitors with completely distinct multimedia presentations composed of photos, narration, music, panoramic images, videos, animations, text and links, and update them instantaneously through a comprehensive backend content management system. CampusTours MultiMedia Engine-powered presentations are rendered entirely in Macromedia Flash , ensuring that the broadest number of visitors can view the presentations. Finally, CampusTours new MultiMedia Engine CD-ROM Burning feature allows organizations to update content and create new CD-ROMs at the push of a button.

Academic institutions have been quick to embrace the new technology, and several schools including the Juilliard School and Monmouth University are already using the CampusTours MultiMedia Engine system to power their virtual tours, video libraries, student profiles sections, alumni development presentations, and more. "The MultiMedia Engine provides schools and other organizations with the ability to instantly republish any portion of their online or CD-based multimedia presentations", says CampusTours vice president John Piermatteo. "Everything in the presentations can be controlled, down to the synchronization of transitions between scenes to precise points in the background audio or narration."

CampusTours is developing the MultiMedia Engine under an exclusive partnership with GroundWork Design of Richmond, Virginia. CampusTours and GroundWork will be announcing new features and modules to extend the capabilities of the MultiMedia Engine throughout 2005.
